O M Goodness, it’s been a full Year Of Retirement!
We are happy with this new life we have found. That’s right happy. When we planned our retirement journey we crossed our T’s and dotted our I’s. We signed up Social Security so both Christi & I have benefits coming in then we asked our “Partners “ for our shares that were agreed to as part of or pay structure, we agreed to a small salary and 5% shares of two rv properties. We were informed that we had to keep working to receive any shares! “If you stop working You Get Nothing”! They were very mean about too. Well we got Nothing! Needless to say it’s been a little tough to get use to living on SS , especially when in the last 8-9 years the company didn’t even match what we put in. “ All for One and None for All” I hear their shout!
We have been running a music program in a rv park in Benson AZ for the past year and playing a lot of music. We purchased tickets for a cruise just before we retired so we did that and had a blast! We went to Texas to see the grandkids. That’s it ! Now we are talking about going back to work. It’s a real possibility. The problem is we are really loving retirement, we worked so hard “24/7” for so many years for those “Partners” we can’t bring ourselves to commit to doing it. So we are watching our spending, doing some side hustles & playing music. We will see how it goes. There is a 1% chance 🙏 that our X business associates will have a change of heart and see that we were there 110% for then for many years. We thought we were family. We’ll see…
